Dr. Eichner has been a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist for 25 years. Through her practice, study, and research she has found that healing begins with mindful awareness of self. She offers a partnership on your healing journey to help you rediscover your authentic self, while healing past injuries and traumas.

Appointments are available virtually through our secure portal or in-person in nature settings around the Toledo and Ann Arbor area. Sessions are available in one-to-one or group formats depending on the needs of the individual.

Home-based Interventions
Do you or a loved one need services in your home. Interventions can be provided 1:1 in the comfort of your home with a focus on resilience, self-esteem, decision making, emotion regulation, mindful awareness, and coping skills.

Nature-based Therapy
Nature-based groups sessions are offered with a focus on the individualized goals of each participant.

Therapeutic Arts
Explore emotions and find your voice through the use of therapeutic arts (music, art, dance, movement, writing).

Walk and Talk
Do you need a place to process emotions, to be heard, to try something different than conventional therapy? Walk and Talk sessions take place in an outdoor space, where the calmness of nature can add to the serenity of processing difficult emotions.

Tai Chi
Build mindfulness and physical self-awareness through virtual or in-person tai chi classes.

Individual
Work 1:1 with Dr. Eichner virtually or in-person to address individual needs to build resilience, decision making, emotion regulation, mindful awareness, coping skills, and self-esteem. Biofeedback can be used to help increase mindful ability to manage emotions and reactions.
Holly Eichner, Ph.D., CTRS-BH

Dr. Eichner earned her doctoral degree in Educational Psychology and training in Therapeutic Recreation at the University of Toledo. She has been a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) for 25 years and holds a specialty certification in behavioral health (CTRS-BH). Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals across the lifespan to increase their self-awareness, coping skills, health, and wellness through the use of recreational therapy interventions and educational experiences. She holds additional certifications in nature-based therapy, nature interpretation, tai chi instruction, and cardio drumming. She has presented at local and national conferences on topics such as: recreational therapy, psychiatric rehabilitation, mindfulness, patient education, positive psychology, bibliotherapy, and therapeutic arts.
